Download AlcooTel by MAAF – Alcohol Test App, Blood Alcohol Estimator, Safe Driving Tool

Overview

AlcooTel by MAAF is a free Android application developed by MAAF Assurances, designed to help users estimate their blood alcohol level based on personal data and drinking habits. The app aims to promote awareness about alcohol consumption and its effects on the body, particularly in relation to driving safety. By inputting details such as gender, age, weight, height, and information about alcohol intake, users receive a real-time estimation of their current blood alcohol concentration (BAC). This feature is intended to serve as a tool for personal reflection and education rather than a legal or medical measurement.

Target users include individuals who want to understand the impact of alcohol on their body, especially those attending social events or gatherings where drinking may occur. The app is particularly useful for promoting responsible behavior and encouraging users to consider safe transportation options. It is not designed for legal or medical use, and the results are explicitly stated to have no legal standing.

Real-world usage scenarios include pre- or post-drinking assessments at parties, events, or after a night out. The app provides an estimated time for when it may be safe to drive again, which can assist in decision-making. Additionally, for users with a BAC exceeding 0.49 g/l, the app offers direct access to call a taxi or a friend, reinforcing its focus on safety and responsible choices.
